Societies Council

Societies Council meets once a month during term time and is open for all societies to attend. It's where you can vote on the formation of new societies, funding applications over £300, and discuss upcoming events, training and more!

It's your opportunity to get your voice heard and make an impact at the Union.

Every society should have a Societies Council representative. If you'd like to be the rep for your society, speak to your society committee.

If you want to set up a society this is where other societies will vote on whether to affiliate you, or if you've made a funding application over £300 it will also be voted on this meeting, don't worry if the vote doesn't pass you can make some changes and reapply. In either case you will have to give a quick presentation about your goals as a society or what you'll use the money for.
