We've had even more society successes over the last few weeks, including a great victory at Hearthstone and a society competition!
We've had some AMAZING society successes recently, with Watt Esports and Video Games Society winning the NSE Winter 2020 Hearthstone Championship after facing university teams from all over the UK, and a society competition between four different Heriot-Watt societies!

A HUGE congratulations to Watt Esports and Video Games Society for their recent win in the NSE Winter 2020 Hearthstone Championship!
Three students under the aliases of Gernemi (Captain), GoatLoard, and Andrei represented Watt Esports and Video Games Society as 'Watt Wyverns'. After 4 weeks of competition, they finished in the top 2, bagging themselves a spot in the semi final. There, they took on Cantabz (Uni of Cambridge) and narrowly won 3-2, securing themselves a place in the final, where they would play Sussexecute (Uni of Sussex). Gernemi, who fell short of the title last year, was able to use his experience and keep the team calm, showing true leadership. The team pulled together for a decisive 3-1 victory, claiming the title not just for themselves but for the society! Each player also won £100.
Society showdown.
We recently had four societies facing off in the society showdown, hosted by the Business Society, they faced off against Psychology Society, Drama Society, and VegSoc. This event had a great turnout with 30 people taking part with plenty of events going around from bingo and Kahoot to Rock-Paper-Scissors!
Business Soc have also run three Zoom social events to support students and a Careers Event which focused on CV's & LinkedIn, this also had a great turnout of 30 members which was AMAZING!
