Here are some highlights from my first semester as Vice President Community. Looking forward to everything that semester two will bring
- Watt Welcome Fair – showcase of all of our amazing Societies and Sports clubs, the best part about university.
- Partnership work being done with the university to implement Cost-of-Living Crisis initiatives. From free breakfast and soup; an increase in the guarantor allowance; waiving late enrolment fees and the creation of emergency finding your feet accommodation.
- Sustainability Week – the societies organised some amazing events throughout our sustainability week including Net Zero and Chemistry Societies’ Sustainable Future talk series.
- Movember fundraising from Heriot-Watt students – smashed the £15,000 target and raised just under £24,000 in total.
