Sustainability Week 2021
Sustainability is about meeting the needs of the present without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their own. Our planet can only produce a finite number of resources and can only withstand a certain degree of greenhouse gas emissions in order to sustain life. We only have one Earth and we depend on it for our survival and wellbeing.
Here at Heriot-Watt University Student Union, we know it’s important to do all that we can to be more sustainable in the face of the Climate Crisis. This year, aligned with one of the world's most important international conferences hosted by the UK this year in Glasgow (COP26), our Sustainability Week will be held from the 1st until the 7th of November.
We’ve got a fully packed Sustainability Week including challenges, talks, a movie night, dinner in town, cook-along, pub quiz and MORE on how U can become more sustainable.
Make sure to get involved by checking out https://www.hwunion.com/sustainability/ and help us make a difference!
