U CAN DO IT!

With the exam diet approaching, we thought it would be helpful to share some of our top tips for studying to make sure you succeed in your assessments.

Studying Effectively:

  1. Download all your lecture notes and combine them into one .pdf file. There are loads of free websites that can do this and it means you can easily search through your notes when answering questions.

  2. Review your lecture recordings and make detailed notes that you can easily follow. It’s important you review the content before taking your exam, even if it’s open book.

  3. Plan your time effectively. Study plans are an important way to make sure you revise everything and keep up with any coursework you might still have.

  4. Set realistic goals. Rome wasn’t built in a day and no one expects you to revise everything that quickly either!

  5. Take regular breaks. Good wellbeing habits are crucial to performing at your best. Give your brain a rest so you can keep a clear and focused head.

  6. Drink lots of water. You gotta stay hydrated!

  7. Get plenty of sleep. A well-rested mind will give you the best chance of success!

  8. Create a comfortable and quiet space to work in. Grab that cozy blanket, a cuppa and plenty of space to revise!

  9. Keep yourself motivated with snacks. We all love a good bit of chocolate as a reward for finishing a topic!

  10. Talk to your classmates. Struggling with a topic? Who better to help than your friends that are studying that very thing!

These are our top tips, but the University has plenty more to help prepare you for your exams. Make sure you check out the Take Home Exam Guides.

We hope these tips help and we wish you the best of luck in your exams!
