L O V E U F O R U
Growing up I’ve always had such a negative attitude towards my body image and it really began to affect my mental health to the point that I would isolate myself. I really thought that because I didn’t have the typical athletic body that I would be mocked and these thoughts really held me back from doing what I wanted to do. When I began to play and compete in sports I realised that I was just as capable as others and that it didn’t matter what I looked like: all that really mattered was that I was enjoying myself.
Over time my mental health began to improve and I no longer wake up feeling such self-hatred towards myself and how I look. The only regret that I have is that I didn’t sign up for certain sports clubs sooner.
