The Scotch Malt Whisky Society was founded in 1983, and has been committed to appreciating whisky in its truest and most natural form. This appreciation for authenticity has resulted in them being the largest whisky society in the world with over 27,000 members.
We are delighted to welcome Michael Johnstone - our former member and Whisky Ambassador at SMWS, who will be doing an exclusive tasting of some of his favourite SMWS bottlings, including bottles from the most recent outturn and outturns past!
We are expecting this tasting to sell out fast, so we are giving everyone the same advance heads up. The sign-up and payment for the SMWS tasting will be available from Tuesday 6th October at 6pm (18:00). Please note that for this tasting, spots will only be confirmed after payment. The tasting is exclusive to HWUWS members for the normal price of £13.
SMWS are offering members with a valid membership card an amazing membership + bottle deal for £75. The bottle is exclusive to the Vaults in Leith, and you won't want to miss that! This deal is not exclusive to those at the tasting, so don't worry if you don't get a spot on the tasting! You can still redeem the deal. The deal is available at the SMWS Vaults in Leith until Saturday 31st October. It will continue after October, but for the increased price of £85.
