Heriot-Watt Brewing Society's 36th Charity Beer Festival is expected to welcome over 1000 visitors from across the University community and the brewing industry. This year's festival will take place on Friday 24th and Saturday 25th of March from 12:00 to Midnight on both days. This event is for everyone and anyone! Over two-days and located at Heriot Watt student union, this is sure to be the event of the year!
This year, all proceeds will go to the Edinburgh food project, a charity that is close to our hearts that offers a range of support to people including food, housing and employment.
More than 70 beers from 40 breweries will be available to sample with a large proportion of these breweries being from the Edinburgh area. Tickets priced at £10 will be available to buy on the door, which includes entry to both days as well as a commemorative glass plus three beer tokens. HWU Students, to avoid disappointment and to get an extra beer token, book your tickets online!
Each token is worth a half or third pint of beer or cider. Most will be half pint servings but a selection of strong beers and rare kegs will be served in third pints. Subsequent tokens can be purchased from the front desk for £2.00 each which makes this possibly one of the best value beer festivals around! Drinks will only be poured into your festival glasses, so please look after them. Food will also be available from the Student Union.
