We are on the lookout for some outstanding students to be the new Freshers Reps for 2023!
What is a Freshers Rep?
This is a volunteer role with the Student Union where your main goal is to make students feel welcome at Heriot-Watt! This is a crucial role during Freshers’ Week where you might need to help students find their halls, show them the best spots on campus and possibly the most important task, show them where the bus stop is!
What would I be doing?
There are lots of opportunities to help out this year so you could be doing a wide variety of activities! Some of these activities include:
- Showing students where their accommodation is
- Answering questions from students and their parents
- Leading activities to help students meet new friends and settle into university life
- Encourage students to get involved in any Freshers Week activities
- Be a friendly face for all students around campus
Who can be a Freshers Rep?
Any student can sign up to be a Freshers Rep as long as you will be a student in September 2023. Whether you are an undergraduate or postgraduate student, we’d love to have you on board!
We are looking for a variety of students to be Freshers Reps! Every person brings unique qualities to this role so there is no set list of skills or qualities required!
