quiz raised over £300 for LGBT Health and Wellbeing main image

The LGBT+ Society and the Languages Society came together on the 3rd of February to host a pub quiz and raffle with all proceeds going to the charity LGBT Health and Wellbeing. We managed to raise an incredible £326.84 which will go towards helping to improve the lives of LGBT+ people in Scotland, from promoting wellbeing in our marginalised communities, to working towards fixing inequalities in healthcare, and so much more.

The quiz had 5 rounds (Entertainment, Culture, Music, LGBT+ History and General Knowledge) with prizes for the teams in 1st and 2nd place, as well as a prize for best team name (team name theme: If the Duolingo owl had a drag name, what would it be?). We were really impressed with how well all the teams performed in the quiz, and we hope everyone had as much fun taking part in the event as we on the committee did!

Both societies worked together to make the night fun and entertaining for all our attendees, as well as collect some amazing prizes for our quiz winners and our raffle. Businesses that generously donated prizes to our event were Kweer Kafe, Maison de Moggy, Black Rabbit, The Edinburgh Natural Skincare Company, Bundits of Leith and many more! See the Languages Society’s Instagram page for a full list!

Thank you again to everyone who came along to our quiz, your support meant the world to us and we hope to bring similar events to you again in the future!
