As a Student Union, we stand in solidarity with all of our members impacted by the invasion in Ukraine and ongoing conflict. We condemn the violence and suffering this is causing. We will always believe in and advocate for democracy, and we know this is a sentiment shared widely across our community.
We are working with the University to make sure that students and staff in affected areas have been contacted and are getting the help they need.
Firstly, we are here to support of our Ukrainian and Russian students and staff. We also understand many more of our Heriot-Watt community will be feeling the impact of this war. We're here for you too.
We know that we can't fix everything, but where we can, we would like to offer support.
