Here for U... Christmas isn’t always the most wonderful time of the year

Not everyone loves Christmas, for lots of different reasons – and that’s ok! With Christmas Eve approaching, we wanted to remind you of support available to you if you’re having a tough time. Check out the mini-series of articles by Student Space on themes like going home to a difficult environment or not being able to go home because of the pandemic.

If you are spending Christmas on campus or in Edinburgh, remember to check out the events ResLife and the Chaplaincy are hosting. To find out more, you can email reslife@hw.ac.uk or chaplaincy@hw.ac.uk.

If you are spending Christmas alone but aren’t on campus, make sure you keep yourself busy: phone your friends, make your favourite meal, watch your favourite film... Just because you’re not feeling festive doesn’t mean you can’t have a nice time!

Finally, please take care of yourself and reach out if you’re not feeling well; below are some organisations you can phone, text or message. Big love, your Student Union x
