What’s the job?

We are looking for an energetic, self motivated person to head up our bar kitchen. You will work as part of a close team to feed the hungry students in the Union’s eating outlets, providing outstanding customer service and making sure your kitchen is the cleanest in Edinburgh.

This is a full time job. Shifts will be five, eight hour shifts spread across each week on a rota given a month in advance. Flexibility is essential as some early starts and later finishes will be required. Hours will be term-time only (end of August to end of May each year) however salary will be annualised and paid over 12 months.  Flexibility is expected depending on what we have going on.

Who are we?

We are Heriot-Watt University Student Union. We’re based at Riccarton and our main goal is to make sure that Heriot-Watt students have THE BEST TIME whilst studying here. As well as the kitchen, we have a bar, café, nightclub and shop, plus we work with Students to make their time at Heriot-Watt the best it can be.

You’ll join a friendly, hardworking and professional team and have a real opportunity to make a difference to the food our students eat.

We are also closed over Christmas and New Year as well as Easter Weekend.
