Hours

There will be monthly Student Parliament meetings on the last Thursday of every month (September – November, January – March), from 5 – 7 pm. The facilitator will have a meeting before Parliament to discuss and decide on the order of the agenda.

Interview

Interviews will take place on Wednesday 10th April 2024.

WHAT’S THE JOB? 

We’re looking for a calm and collected student to join us as the Parliament Facilitator this academic year. This role will make sure Parliament meetings are well run, with productive discissions and great participation from Student Members of Parliament

WHO ARE WE? 

We are Heriot-Watt University Student Union. We’re based in Edinburgh, with campuses in the Scottish Borders and Orkney, and our main goal is to make sure that Heriot-Watt students have the best time whilst studying here. We have our commercial outlets as well as Advice Hub, academic representation, societies and community, plus we work with Students to make their time at Heriot-Watt the best it can be. 

Student experience is a key priority for us, and Student Parliament is there to make sure decisions being made reflect what students want to see happening. 

WHAT DO YOU GET? 

By Chairing Student Parliament, you will gain valuable experience that you can demonstrate and draw on in future. Some skills you’ll learn are:
