This is a Casual, Part-Time role.

What’s the job?

We are looking for a fun, engaging intern to come and work in a the Student Engagement Team! You will work closely with our Societies, help plan Freshers Week events and support our volunteers throughout the year.

This is a part time job, 20 hours a week in August to help us prepare for Freshers Week, and then 10 hours a week during term time. Availability for flexible hours would be an advantage, as we don’t always work a regular 9-5!

Who are we?

We are Heriot-Watt University Student Union. We’re based at Riccarton and our main goal is to make sure that Heriot-Watt students have THE BEST TIME while studying here. We have a bar, café, nightclub and shop, plus we work with students to make their time at Heriot-Watt the best it can be.

You’ll join a friendly, hardworking, professional team and have a real opportunity to make a difference to our activities and volunteering programmes.

What do you get?

You will be paid £7.38 per hour, plus holiday pay, gain invaluable experience of supporting a rage of volunteers and activities, and you get that warm fuzzy feeling inside that comes from helping the students of HW make the most of their Student Union.
