"Giving the GREEN light to your academic experiences and opportunities"

What campaigns or student issues are most important to you? (Max 3)

  • Assessment and Feedback:
    1. Work with the university to explore the opportunity for personal tutors to develop opt-in/out personalised feedback plans with their tutees which are informed by coursework and exam results.
  • Student Leadership and Development:
    1. Co-create a toolkit, streamlined process and support pack for student-led mentoring programmes across all departments.
  • Learning and Teaching Environments:
    1. Increase the opportunities offered by the GO Global programme, and in field-trip engagement and partnerships with external universities.
    2. Expand and develop further on the purpose of lecture recordings for student learning and consolidation.

What skills and experience would you bring to the role?

I have been grateful to work in a range of roles within - and outside - the student union. I believe this provides me with the skills and qualities necessary to fulfil, and go beyond, the remit of the position.

  • Urban Studies School Officer.
    • Diplomacy, active listening and organisation.
  • Wellbeing & Open Place MP.
    • Creativity and accountability.
  • NUS Scotland and UK Delegate.
    • Strong communication and negotiation.
  • Institutional Associate Trainer at sparqs
    • Planning, coordination and initiative.
  • Customer and Trading Manager/Responsible Colleague; Sainsburys.
    • Leadership, management and delegation.

Why do you want the role?

  • I want to represent you, the students, and your learning and teaching experience at the highest level, working with and challenging the university on their decisions to ensure students are at the heart of everything
  • I believe that the role will challenge and test my ability to negotiate and persuade the university on YOUR academic priorities. I have shown to excel in times of adversity and would provide you with a voice where and when it matters the most.
  • I want to connect and engage with ALL students, with a strong focus on individuality and protected characteristics. There is no 'ONE' student academic experience.

Where can I find out more about your campaign?

You can follow the progress of my election campaign both in-person, and online. Look out for my GREEN jumper!
