What campaigns or student issues are most important to you? (Max 3)

Protecting community 

• I will be supporting Society for Progressive Students with their Help not Harm campaign to increase drug safety and harm reduction 
• I want to take a strong stance against sexual harassment culture at university, providing a more robust complaints procedure, making sure students feel protected and supported by their union 

Events 

• This year has had mainly society run events with a lack of union run events for students to attend, I aim to ensure there are more union run events that reflect the diversity and interests of our students. 
• There should be more events ran within Edinburgh to expose students to the city better and create a space for non drinking events.
• I've heard from speaking with societies such as LGBT+ society and Afro Caribbean Society that there should be a push to create safe spaces and more union run events to take pressure off of the society members to hopefully draw new students in to these societies to have the opportunity to make connections 

Food

• Increase variety of food on campus, students shouldn’t have to sacrifice more money to meet dietary restrictions, giving people more options and reflecting the diversity of the community in the food that we have available

What skills and experience would you bring to the role?

• I am the Vice President of Music Society, where I co-run weekly open mic events at the student union
• Physics Class Rep 
• Working at the union cafe/bar/kitchen
• Helping societies setup there events 
• Freshers rep for the last 2 years 

Why do you want the role? 

It is rewarding for me to engage with different communities, through Music Society and working at the Union and being a freshers rep, engaging with people and learning about their experiences and building connections giving people a space to make friends and have fun.
