Cameron Maxwell

Chair of Parliament

TELL US ABOUT YOURSELF

Hi! I’m Cameron, a third-year at Heriot-Watt studying Chemical Engineering, and the new chair of Student Parliament! So far, I have really had a great time at this university, though stressful, I can quite confidently say that it has been the best period of my life so far.

I am very keen to make sure that everyone else can have this same experience. To do so, I’ve been really eager to ensure that all university-related issues, on and off-campus, are discussed and dealt with proactively. In doing so, rather than sitting back, I chose to try to make my mark, taking on this role as Parliament Chair. I’m really open to answering any questions or queries you have for me, so don’t hesitate to contact me via email

What do I do?

I work with the democratic structures of the Student Union to make sure Parliament meetings are well run, with productive discissions and great participation from Student Members of Parliament.

TELL US AN INTERESTING FACT ABOUT YOURSELF

Though I study Chemical Engineering, I really don’t like chemistry all that much. Oh, and I’m also a twin!
