Snooker and Darts Society

The Heriot-Watt Snooker and Darts Society aims to cater to all abilities from novices to more experienced players and allow students to meet new friends, socialise and represent your society!

We usually meet every Tuesday night from 6pm at the Shandon Snooker and Pool Hall in Slateford. However, with the current Covid-19 situation this may differ and adjustments may be made depending on the number of people showing up to meetings.

Our annual membership fee is £4 which includes free darts for the year! Our weekly price for snooker is a bargain at £3.50/night with most places charging £5/hour! So if you’re up for having some fun and meeting new people (as well as some very affordable pints), then our members would agree that the Snooker and Darts society is the place to be.

We run a pretty chilled snooker league throughout both semesters and a darts competition at the end of each as well (we shall see how this works as the semester progresses). We also hold socials every so of ten throughout the year (again we shall see with Covid-19) and each year the society sends a team to BUCS snooker.

If you have any questions get in contact with us. You can email us (, get in touch with our president: Drew Tomkins or any of the other committee members Jenish Soni and Hanming Liang on social media or have a look for the Heriot-Watt Snooker & Darts Society page on Facebook ( or follow us on Instagram at hw_snooker_and_darts.
