The society is for students who are studying or are interested in Civil and Structural Engineering, and it is open to both undergraduate and postgraduate students.
Students from other disciplines within the school of Energy, Geoscience, Infrastructure and Society (EGIS) are also welcome. The society is a great way to meet other students and learn more about the industry. During the year, we host a range of events, including socials and technical events. We will be running nights out in the city, and plenty of fun social events. There will also be industry talks and careers fair to help students gain summer placements and even graduate work. We also plan the Civil Engineering Graduate Ball for those students in their final year on either the BEng or MEng. If you are interested in joining the society, then there is a Facebook group with the same name. We are also always looking for Committee Members, so just send an email if you want to be involved in helping organise some great events.
