Sophie (our treasurer) with some of last years members after completing their MMM course.

This Saturday (the 24th) at Cramond beach our Secretary, Sara, will be saving inflatable whales, dolphins, and seals, from morning till the afternoon. Although there is, unfortunately, no more space to join the Training Course on Saturday, there will be several more opportunities to get your Marine Mammal Medic training this year. Definitely keep an eye out on their website for available courses.

The course itself is 115£ and includes first year subscription and third party insurance are included in the course fee.

Additionally:

  • The course has lecture (online) and practical components covering whale, dolphin and seal rescue techniques
  • There is no requirement to be a diver or have specific qualifications
  • Due to the physical nature of the course you will need a certain level of fitness
  • Over 18s only
  • Wet and dry courses available to book

If there is enough demand we should be able to organize with BDMLR a course specifically for our members. If this is something you would be interested in please do contact us.
