Who can start a society?

Any current Heriot-Watt student can start a society. You don’t need to have been involved in one before or hold a specific role — just a good idea and a bit of enthusiasm.

You can start a society on your own, but you’ll need a small team (see below) before it can officially launch. If you’re not sure where to begin, come and chat to the Student Engagement Team — we’ll help you figure it out.
