This means that sometimes a society is ready to go, but missing a crucial part of what's needed to make it tick, that could be you! With our jump start a society programme, you can become a society leader and pick up where the society left off! The Heriot-Watt Accounting Society is dedicated to empowering students with the knowledge, skills, and professional network needed to thrive in the world of accounting, finance, and business. Our mission is to enhance the employability of Heriot-Watt students by bridging the gap between academic learning and real-world industry experience.

We deliver a dynamic programme of events designed to prepare our members for successful careers. These include inspiring guest speaker sessions with industry professionals, firm-sponsored competitions that simulate real business challenges, interactive career workshops focused on CV building, interview preparation and assessment centre success, as well as practical case study sessions that develop analytical and problem-solving skills.

Beyond professional development, we also create opportunities for students to build meaningful connections. Through networking, employer engagement and social events, members can connect with leading firms, alumni, and like-minded peers in a supportive and ambitious community.
