Make someone’s day - Nominate them for the Volunteer Awards 2022!
Has someone gone out of their way to make sure you had an excellent year? Helped you out when you were stuck? Made you feel super welcome at their events and activities? Raised your concerns and made a positive change? Whether they’re an individual, society or group of students, you can recognise their hard work by nominating them for a Volunteer Award!
We have 14 awards open for nominations, so there’s plenty of opportunities to celebrate volunteer achievements. Any volunteering completed since 1st April 2021 can be taken into consideration for these awards.

After two particularly tough years for everyone, we’ll make sure to share the nice things you’ve said to your nominee as a wee pick-me-up at the end of semester. You get those warm and fuzzy feelings, and they get to hear how much you appreciate them and what they do. It’s a win-win!
Nominations close 5pm, Monday 28th February, so you’ve not got long to say thank you!
VOLUNTEER LOG
If you are a volunteer, don’t forget to log your experience with the Student Union by Monday 14th March, 9am. Not logged volunteer hours and skills before or need a little refresher? Here’s a guide to show you how.
We celebrate the following achievements:
- Bronze Award - 50 hours and 5 employability skills
- Silver Award - 100 hours and 5 employability skills
- Gold Award - 200 hours and 6 employability skills
- Platinum Award - 300 hours and 6 employability skills
- Ruby Award - 400 hours and 7 employability skills
- Diamond Award - 500 hours and 7 employability skills
For each skill to be recognised, it needs to come from a different skills category (Communication, Teamwork, Leadership, Technology, Self-Management, Development, Organisation).
