What’s the Job?
This is the job for students who can be the face of the Union for all enquiries, providing a friendly, effective and efficient point of contact for students. You will be a resource of information for the Student Union, encouraging communications with customers about our events and campaigns. You will also enable students to top up their ridacards and phones or pay their electricity and gas. You will be helping students find a room for study, society event, pub quiz etc etc. Yes a person of many parts, and happy with it!
This is a part time, casual job which will fit around your student timetable, roughly 7-10 hours per week. The usual hours will be term time only, with some flexibility depending on the events and campaigns going on with the Union.
You’ll join a friendly, hardworking and professional team and have a real opportunity to make a difference to our customer services.
Who are we?
We are Heriot-Watt University Student Union. We’re based at Riccarton and our main goal is to make sure that Heriot-Watt Students have THE BEST TIME while studying here. We have a bar, café, nightclub and shop, plus we work with students to make their time at Heriot-Watt the best it can be.
What do you get?
You will be paid £7.38 per hour plus holiday pay, gain invaluable experience of handling customer enquiries, helping students, giving good customer service and gain an understanding of working in a truly international environment.
