Thank you for showing interest in the Freshers Fair 2021!
Due to the current situation we are all facing, we are still working to finalise plans for what Freshers Week will look like this year - including the Freshers Fair.
Last year we were able to work with our friends in the University, and Oriam to hold a reduced in-person fair (called the Watt Welcome Fair), showcasing our societies and sports clubs. Given the requirement for social distancing, we held the fair at Oriam on campus making use of the big sports halls they have available. It worked well but unfortunately meant we had to reduce the numbers that could attend - both students and stall holders.
If you are from a Society...
You can request a stall at the Watt Welcome Fair as part of your reaffiliation. Look out for the questions about it in your reaffiliation form.
If you are from an external company or organisation...
We are expecting to work to a similar model this year as outlined above, although plans are still being discussed how we can maximise it - so as many students can attend as possible. We are also hoping to be able to open our doors once again to external companies and organisations that wish to attend, by making space available in the Student Union building at the same time as the Watt Welcome Fair is taking place in Oriam (2 minute walk from the Student Union).
