We're busy working on our plans for Freshers Week 2020, which this year will take place both online and on-campus. We'll be following Government guidelines carefully and working with the University to make sure what we do is safe, and we'll make sure you can take part whether you are with us in-person or joining us remotely.

If you're new to Heriot-Watt, we'll shortly be opening our Official Heriot-Watt Freshers 2020 group on Facebook, so you can start to meet other new students coming to HW.
This year is going to be great, and we have lots of new things planned to help you settle in, meet lots of people, and have some fun.
Join our Facebook Groups
The easiest way to find your new flatmates and coursemate is to join our Facebook Groups! Start with our OFFICIAL Freshers 2020 group. From there, join your on-campus halls group.
If you're planning on staying off-campus, don't worry, we've got off-campus Facebook Groups for Edinburgh and the Scottish Borders Campus too. We've also got groups for International Students, Postgraduate Students, and Direct Entry Students, so you can meet others who are in the same boat as you.

Over the next few weeks, we'll also be releasing our new app, which will put your digital Student Union in the palm of your hand! You'll be able to:
- See all of our events, and get tickets
- Join one of our many societies
- Buy official HW merchandise (everyone loves a hoodie!)
- Vote in our elections, when the time comes
- Catch up with what the Student Union is getting up to
About tickets / ticket bundles / passes ...
Just to let you know... at the moment, we are not selling any event tickets, ticket bundles or passes. If you are being asked or recommended to buy something, it is not a ticket for any official Student Union Freshers Week events. We only sell tickets, bundles and passes through our website at hwunion.com - so watch out if you're purchasing from somewhere else.
