University life is about so much more than study and exams. Book a slot to come along to Oriam on Friday 11th September (12pm-5pm) and meet the Student Union Societies, Services and Sports Union Clubs who will become a big part of your student experience and help you to look after your wellbeing during your time at Heriot-Watt.

With almost 90 exhibitors attending the event, including 40 Student Union Societies and over 30 Sports Union Clubs, there’s something for everyone, from the Debating Society to the Ultimate Frisbee Club and everything in between!

To get the most out of our Societies, make sure you download and setup the Student Union app for quick and easy joining - find out more information here.

Keeping you safe

Numbers will be limited to ensure the event can be run safely and in line with government guidelines, with social distancing measures in place. You must book a 20 minute arrival slot to secure your place at the event. Initially arrival slots will be available up to 3pm and later slots will be released when these earlier slots reach capacity.

Student volunteers will greet you at Oriam’s main entrance and ask to see your ticket on your phone as proof of your booking. You’ll need to wear a mask on arrival and when moving between different parts of Oriam, but can remove it within the exhibition spaces.

We’re all looking forward to meeting you on the day!

Can’t make it in person? We’re online too!

Don’t worry if you can’t make it in person as you can also meet sports clubs and student societies online.

The Student Union is hosting a Virtual Fair on Friday 11th September from 4pm where you can jump in and out of live video calls with the societies that you're interested in and ask them any questions. Click here to see the joining links to get involved.

The Sports Union will also be hosting a series of online live sessions on Friday 11th September from 3pm where you can hear from the clubs that you’re interested in and ask them any questions you have about their club. Check out the online live schedule and joining links to get involved.
