Wondering how to start your own freelancing business, either-full time or as a side-hustle? Network? Struggling to figure out how much to charge clients? Then this is the event for you! We will be exploring the dos and don’ts of freelancing and the basic tools you need to start a successful career!

Freelancing and consulting are more and more common these days. Advantages include being your own boss, working with a variety of clients on a wide range of projects, and choosing your hours. However starting up your business can be tricky - How much do you charge? How do you find clients? Is it ok to turn down clients? We will be covering all these questions and more!

Ramon Inglada is an assistant professor in Spanish and Translation Technologies at Heriot-Watt. He has also been working as a freelance interpreter and translator and experience in varied sectors such as software, marketing and football!
