Beach Clean

Hosted by Ocean Conservation Society

Sat 02 October 2021 12:00-17:00

Cramond Beach

Since our last beach clean was such a success we have decide to host another! And we will now be hosting a beach clean on the first Saturday of every month so get it in your calendar!

This beach clean is in collaboration with Team ESTEEM. Here's a little something from them:

"ESTEEM is the solar decathlon society of Heriot Watt university. We participate in the SDME competition held in Dubai by building a sustainable and smart home to tackle problems of climate change.
We are honoured to collaborate with Ocean Conservation Society and participate in this beach clean up since we strongly believe together we can contribute in making the planet cleaner, greener and more sustainable."

As with our previous beach clean, someone will be waiting on campus at the James Watt statue infront of the main entrance to the University at 10:30am , where they will meet any members coming from campus and take the bus to Cramond Beach. Alternatively, if you prefer to meet at Cramond Beach another committee member will meet you at the Cramond Inn carpark at 12pm.

What to bring: clothes fit for the weather and appropriate shoes (cramond can get quite muddy)

Once again, we are collaborating with surfers against sewage who have provided us with reusable bags and gloves for cleaning up the beach.

We look forward to seeing you there!
