Sense-Based Approach To Student Drug Usage (Help Not Harm)

As the student MP for 2022/23, I have advocated for drug-purity testing-kits, drink-spike testing-kits, and spike prevention-kits to be available across the university. I aim to continue this campaign into my next year if elected. I aim to finish this campaign so that students can test their drinks and drugs to reduce harm and prevent drug misuse.

Fight the increasing rise of sexual harassment on Campus.

Through my role as student MP, President of the Society for Progressive Students(SPS) and student activist, I will fight against the rising increase in reports of sexual harassment. I will work to ensure that ALL reports of sexual abuse, misconduct or harassment are seriously and appropriately dealt with!

Continue my Fight for Students 

I will continue the fight for better student learning conditions, better student housing, cheaper rents, expansions of the free lunch and breakfast programmes and more...

What skills and experience would you bring to the role?

I am President of the Society for Progressive Students; I started the campaign for a sense-based approach to drug use at Heriot-Watt, which so far has resulted in the handing out of over 60 drug testing kits and 20 spike prevention kits.

A vote for me is a vote for someone with experience and a record fighting for the issues that we, as students, care about. When students lead the charge for better, we achieve better outcomes.

Why do you want the role? 

I want this role to continue the effective role I have played in student parliament this past year; I want this role as I want to fight for students on your behalf; I want to continue to Fight for students’ rights and protection.
