Don’t complain – campaign!
Your Student Union campaigns hard to make sure your experience at Heriot Watt University is as amazing as it can possibly be. Campaigning is a visible way that we represent your views to the University and beyond, and we aim to bring about positive changes both locally and nationally. From getting the support you need for your studies to encouraging the University to be as eco-friendly as it can be, your student led Union has helped to shape your University experience.
Getting involved in a campaign is a very rewarding experience. Campaigning gives you the opportunity to fight for what you believe in, learn transferable skills and you will make new friends.
This year your Union will be campaigning on a wide variety of issues, including:
- Environmental and green issues (priority campaign)
- Funding and Fees (priority campaign)
- Alcohol awareness
- Zero tolerance to harassment
Up and coming campaigns:
- Sexual health
- Mental health
- Accommodation
- Money and finance
